Part-Time Evening Program

The Welding Program of Study focuses on careers that will build a knowledge base and technical skills in all aspects of the Welding industry. Students will have the opportunity to earn a WV Welding Certification for each skill set mastered and be exposed to skills to develop positive work ethics.
Instruction and career training consists of 540 hours completed in 38 weeks. The adult part-time Welding ACE program is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
Instruction and training will include classroom lectures and discussion, laboratory demonstrations and paractice, as well as preparation for certification tests. Students will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform welding techniques and utilize welding equipment.
Courses begin in October 2021 and will end June 2022. The program follows the Mercer County Schools calendar. Classes are held Monday - Thursday from 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
WV Welding Certifications that may be earned include SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
